Roller conveyors are often used to transport pallets. The configuration depends on the type and orientation of the pallets, the weight of the pallets, available height, etc.. To transport pallets in groups seperate gearmotor driven sections can be used. Detection of the pallets is done by photocells, ultrasonic sensors or mechanical detection.

The gearmotor is often placed underneath the conveyor, ensuring extra protection. If needed, for example for very low conveyor systems, it is also possible to mount the gearmotor on the side or above of the conveyor.
