Our customer “Montis” in Dongen manufactures exclusive furniture. After production, the furniture is placed on a cardboard box bottom (plano) and put on a trolley. When the trolley is full, it is manually brought to the beginning of the conveyor system. The furniture is pushed manually from the trolley onto the conveyor system. The beginning of this logistics system consists of a number of accessible belt conveyors, next to which a platform is installed fitted with racks with packaging material to pack the furniture.
After packing the furniture a final destination is chosen on the computer system and the boxed furniture is transported to a strapping machine. After strapping a shuttle conveyor will transport the strapped box to one of the six roller conveyors ready for further transport to the customers by truck.
